1618 Robotics collects first-person video of real tasks to train robots. Collectors film their own work with a phone on a head strap, and we pay for each hour of video we accept.

Types of work

At your workplace

Record tasks from your trade, with written permission from the person in charge of the place.

Examples

  • Plumbing, heating and cooling, or electrical work
  • Construction
  • Car repair and services
  • Event venues and parties
  • Restaurant or large kitchen
  • Carpentry, cabinet making or woodwork
  • Farming or gardening
  • Shops and retail
  • Manufacturing or production
  • Logistics, warehouse or moving
  • Commercial cleaning or janitorial work
  • Food or drink factory
  • Hotel or lodging
  • Beauty salon, spa or pet care

At home

Record everyday home tasks, safely and privately.

Examples

  • Washing, hanging and folding clothes
  • Washing dishes
  • Cooking and preparing food
  • Cleaning surfaces and bathrooms
  • Sweeping and mopping
  • Tidying up and putting things away
  • Making beds
  • Putting groceries away

Pay

USD 2.50 to 9 per accepted hour, depending on the task

We only pay for video hours that are accepted.

Who can apply

  • You must be 19 or older.
  • You need a supported phone and a verified WhatsApp number.
  • To take part, you need to record at least 10 hours a week.
